Just a Girl With a Camping Addiction

Let the Adventures Begin

The moutains are calling and I must go.

– John Muir

Welcome to my blog, mainly about camping. I am truly a girl with a camping addiction and I drag my family and friends along for the ride. My goal is to provide you with tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way. Because we live in PA, we generally start our camping season in April and mournfully end in November. We only have one more trip planned for the 2023 season before school and sports start up for our kids.

Campgrounds

Each camping trip, I will contribute more content to the Campground Page, which details the criteria by which I will rate the various places we stay. One of the challenges we found is that it’s hard to readily find reviews on campgrounds; therefore, I decided to incorporate the ratings into my blog.

Recent Adventures

To accompany the campground pages, I have provided additional information about attractions to see and places to eat on the Recent Adventures Page. When I plan out our longer camping trips, I typically build an itinerary because you just can’t take the planner/scheduler out of my blood, even if I’m trying to plan a relaxing camping trip. Like the campground pages, these pages will evolve as we explore more places throughout the camping season.

Gadgets

My family lovingly refers to me as the Gadget-Queen (ok, maybe it’s not a term of endearment but I’ll just pretend).  Over the years, I have tried many types of gizmos and gadgets to make our camping lives easier and I plan to share them with all of you.  This page is coming soon.

Countdown Until Next Adventure

Curious to see where we are camping next? Here’s our countdown until our next campground adventure.  This is always the hardest part for me:  waiting!

We Bought a Camping Timeshare

I’m sure that anyone who buys a timeshare never really intends to buy one, right? I’m so naive that I didn’t even know that I had signed up for timeshare spiel. I know this sounds super unlikely but here’s how the whole thing went down.
